The East Metro Community Music Association (EMCMA) is a new nonprofit dedicated to bringing music to our local community. It developed from a 2023 reunion of former Centennial High School band students.
Board of Directors

Adrienne Meyer, President
Addie Meyer combines leadership in healthcare operations with a deep passion for music and community engagement. While managing clinic operations in nonprofit healthcare settings, Addie also serves as Board President for East Metro Community Music Association (EMCMA), a nonprofit dedicated to connecting people through music and the arts.
An active musician, Addie plays oboe, saxophone, and clarinet, contributing to performances and programs that make music accessible and inclusive. Through EMCMA, Addie champions opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities to experience the joy of music.
Silvie Andrews, Vice President
Silvie works at the Gresham Historical Society by day and plays clarinet by night. She has lived in the Gresham area her whole life and is a graduate of Centennial High School.


David Radford, Treasurer
David is a Centennial alum and currently a science teacher for the Reynolds School District. He has nine years of marching experience with high school band and the Oregon Crusaders.
Kimberly Morrison, Secretary
Kimmy is a Centennial alum and trombonist. She works at Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy as a Clinic Administrative Development Specialist. Getting back into the band scene after a 22-year break was a huge breath of fresh air and felt like coming home.

Board Members at large

Chris O’Rourke
Chris O’Rourke is a Centennial alum and is currently a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for Providence Health and percussion educator. He is passionate about educating students of all ages and levels and fostering a strong sense of community.
Doug Wolfe
Doug is a Centennial Band alum who returned to playing the trumpet in recent years. He works as an eCommerce administrator and is a hobbyist insect photographer, gamer and tinkerer now dabbling in musical instrument repair.


Lisa Garza
Lisa Garza has been in the world of Healthcare through the lens of Medical insurance, Claims, and a subject matter expert in medical benefits. She’s worked her almost 30 years career in Healthcare starting in Schaumburg, IL in 1995 while living there then made the move back to Oregon in June 2003 and has been working for Kaiser Permanente over 20 years. She’s had various roles within the Organization and currently is a Benefits Project Manager. When she’s not working, she is a Paranormal Investigator, enjoys time with her pets (3 cats), and her many creative adventures.
Lisa began playing musical instruments in the 4th Grade within the Centennial District and continued playing until graduating from Centennial High School in 1987. She was part of the groups that played and marched in the Portland Grand Floral Parade all 4 years of High School.
Lisa looks forward to helping students, along with their families, enjoy the Arts more fully and participate in Concert and Marching events around the Region.
William Stellbrink
William Stellbrink is the current Director of Bands at Centennial Middle School, where he has taught since 2021. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education from Oregon State University, where he was heavily involved in concert, marching, and other athletic bands. In addition to playing trumpet in the EMCMA Concert Band, he has performed with the Portland Metro Concert Band, Gresham Salvation Army Band, and various high school pit orchestras around the metro area. He also serves as the current OMEA District 2 Secretary.


Zachary Kahler
Zachary is a composer and private lesson instructor in brass, music theory and composition. He has a degree in Music Theory/Composition from Warner Pacific College (in Northeast Portland,) and is an alum of Centennial HS. “Music is for everyone, and we can help reduce the barriers of entry for anyone that wants to pursue it.”
Educational Directors

Michael Lasfetto, director
Michael Lasfetto is the founding Educational Director for the East Metro Community Music Association. In this role, Michael oversees the operation of and directs the concert and marching bands. He also serves as the music teacher at Butler Creek Elementary School where he teaches all students in grades K-5 and is on the faculty of the Eastwinds Band Camp through Vibe of Portland. When not teaching music, Mr. Lafetto is the Church Music Scholar at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church where he takes organ lessons, sings in the choir, and assists the organist-choirmaster. He is frequently asked to substitute as a guest organist at churches around the Pacific Northwest. As a performer he has played horn, piano, and/or sung with the Oregon Sinfonietta, the Portland Wind Symphony, Rose City Swing, The Olympia Symphony, the Northwest Wind Symphony, and the Consonare Chorale. Before returning to the school district where he grew up, Michael taught band, choir, and general music in the Lincoln County, Salem-Keizer, and Scottsdale Unified School Districts. Michael has a Bachelor of Music Education from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master of Music in Music Education from the American Band College of Central Washington University as well as training in Orff Schulwerk, Conversational Solfege, and World Music Drumming. His professional affiliations include the Association of Concert Bands, The National Association for Music Education, the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, The American Guild of Organists, and the International Horn Society. He is a proud member of this local union, the Centennial Education Association as well as a lifelong member of Mu Phi Epsilon International Professional Music Fraternity.
